9. Georgetown University Scholarships for African Students

From the fall of 2014, the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) at Georgetown University began offering a full-tuition scholarship for a talented graduate students from sub-Saharan Africa. The MSFS at Georgetown University is a two-year, full-time graduate degree program in international affairs. 8. Clark University Presidential LEEP Scholarships for Undergraduate International Students

Clark University offers undergraduate scholarships to international students through the Liberal Education and Effective Practice (LEEP). The LEEP program combines a robust liberal arts experience with authentic engagement in the world and workplace for undergraduate students. Up to 5 scholarships are awarded. The scholarship covers full tuition, room, and board for four years.

7. AAUW International Fellowship for Women

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) offers International Fellowship for full-time study or research in the United States to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Both graduate and postgraduate studies at accredited U.S. institutions are supported. Applicants must have earned the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree and must have applied to their proposed institutions of study by the time of the application. Application opens from August 1 to December 1 each year. Up to five fellows receive between $18,000 and $30,000

The Obama Foundation Scholars Program is a new program from the Obama Foundation and the University of Chicago, Harris School of Public Policy for rising leaders from around the world who are focused on an issue of global importance. 5. Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program at Stanford University

The Knight-Hennessy Scholars program annually identifies up to 90 high-achieving students from around the world with demonstrated leadership and civic commitment to receive full funding to pursue a wide-ranging graduate education at Stanford. The scholarship is available to pursue any graduate degree at Stanford, from PhDs in arts, education, engineering, humanities, or social sciences to professional degrees in business, law, or medicine.

4. Joint Japan World Bank Group Scholarship Program

The Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program is open to women and men from developing countries with relevant professional experience who are applying to a master’s degree program in a development-related topic. Several scholarships are offered each year. The scholarship covers the cost of completing a master’s degree: return air travel, $500 travel allowance, tuition, and the cost of basic medical and accident insurance; a monthly allowance to cover living expenses. The scholarship is for a maximum duration of two years.

3. Rotary Peace Fellowship for Masters and Professional Programs

Each year, Rotary selects individuals from around the world to receive fully funded academic fellowships at one of its peace centers. These fellowships cover tuition and fees, room and board, round-trip transportation, and all internship and field-study expenses. Starting in 2012, the MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program allows students whose talent and promise exceed their financial resources to complete their education. The Program provides financial, social, and academic support to Scholars. Financial support includes tuition fees, accommodation, books, and other scholastic materials. The Scholarship Program is anticipated to benefit 15,000 young people for secondary, undergraduate and Masters’s levels within 8 to 10 years.
